Technopark Phase-V, better known as Technopark Kollam, is a 4.44 acre campus located at Kundara near the city of Kollam is yet another IT business campus of Technopark Trivandrum.   Sitting on a picturesque bank of the Ashtamudi Lake, which is a designated Ramsar Site, Technopark Kollam is easily accessible by rail and road. Technopark Kollam enjoys the distinction of being India’s first lake side IT Park. Technopark Kollam is awaiting approval from the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) division of the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry to develop the campus into a ‘workcation’ hub.  After obtaining the formal IT SEZ co-developer status, IT businesses have started operations at Technopark Kollam. The offices are located within a LEED Gold-certified IT building with a built-up area of 1 lakh square feet. To remain in tune with the location, this IT building has been named ‘Ashtamudi’. The first, second and third floors of ‘Ashtamudi’ are plug-and-play fully furnished office spaces offering 27 Smart Business Centre (SBC) modules ranging from 8 seats to 25 seats. The fourth, fifth and sixth floors are in warm shell (bare shell) condition offering 20,000 square feet of readily available space for lease. The seventh floor is designated for recreation, guest house, eateries and dining purposes.  As of now this building accommodates nineteen IT/ITeS companies providing jobs to about 400 professionals.  As Technopark Kollam operates within IT Special Economic Zone guidelines, the campus is exclusively reserved for companies engaged in 100 % IT/ITeS exports.
